“Knock knock let the devil in “
That night my heart decided to share the warmth with that stranger
The cold devil was allowed in the warm place
That lonely heart searching for people to talk to at nights finally found a guest
Irrespective of the fact that he was a devil
A COLD DEVIL
The warm heart was happy to find the devil inside it’s desolate self burnt warmth
For little did the heart knew, her warmth would be able to give her the best gift of her life…
The Devil was hers…
No longer a cold devil
A warm devil ready to do anything to keep that heart continuously warm and snug with his presence
Little did he know love was the name of the season and he rested in that warm heart with the greatest of delight
Little does the heart and the devil know
What has the future kept in store for their blooming love
Just sometimes the heart wonders
What if the devil decides to leave her shelter some day and search for a better accomodation…
And this keeps the heart a little intimidated for the day
Till the devil seeks in at some time for the play
And promises to be inside her throughout his life for the rest of the stay…
About the writer: Adrita
I am a student of class 12 in BK Bajoria School. An extrovert who’s always into bringing about a change in the backward mentalities of the people right from normalising the talks about the various social matters that needs to be paid attention to helping people understand the correct meaning of feminism and not misinterpret it. I was always inspired by true love ever since I watched Bajirao Mastani (so much art can do). Gradually after developing a keen interest, I started reading romantic novels by Ravinder Singh eventually leading me to understand and feel what love was like making me pen down all kinds of emotions she owns for all they say is “pen is mightier than the sword”. Besides, I is a very passionate singer and I aim to become a Gynaecologist soon !
